Taylor and I have been endlessly practicing. While there we have been purchasing six packs of PBR from the little bar "La Cantina" that's conveniently located inside of our rehearsal space building. What would we do without it? In other news, we've got family coming to town to visit. This will include trips to all the touristy locations in Seattle, like: The 7 Eleven in Rainier Valley, The Goodwill In SODO, that urine stain underneath the I-90 overpass, and of course, the Space Needle.

Whoa! It's been ages since we've had an update! OK, a lot has happened to us since we've last spoken. Here it goes:
We moved to Seattle because my girlfriend is getting her masters at UW. Plus, I think we all needed a little break from Phoenix. Not that we don't love and miss Arizona, because we do!Then Jason got engaged and decided to move back home. Seattle just wasn't working out for him. Upon hearing this news James decided that he was not going to move out here to join the band, but would instead stay in LA to work on reality TV shows.
Taylor and I were crushed folks. Literally, we were incapacitated for days, thinking "What the hell are we going to do with our lives!?" There was a lot of fists in the air, cursing of an unseen god, drinking and crying...emphasis on the drinking. But soon afterwards, we found a practice space to share with a really cute 2-piece band called "Sap'n" and we have been really inspired to write new music. The new stuff is very different from our old songs, except that it equally awkward lyrically, and I'm sure Taylor questions my mental health daily. Don't worry, I'm concerned about Taylor just as much! *wink wink
So...happy ending, right? Yes! And now we have a show coming up. It's our first attempt at playing live music in Seattle.

The album is finally pressed and we are working to put together a CD release party! The title is “History Time Travel Gig” and it is 9 songs of radical goodness. The title comes from a poignant lyrical verse in one of the songs. Clever, huh? We will have the album available to purchase online and will also be posting all of the lyrics. Hurray!

We just recently got back from playing some great shows at SXSW in Austin, TX. We ate tons of pizza, drank lots of vitamin water/ diet mountain dew, and really bonded as a band. I’ll never forget the moment where Taylor and Jason got into a bar fight with 5 or 6 drunken land-locked sailors. Those poor sailors were so depressed because they hadn’t seen the ocean in years. Their anger and frustration was misdirected and they apologized afterwards. In the future, we’ll look back on that one and just laugh our little heads off!

We are still looking for people or labels to help fund the pressing of our new album coming out soon. Right now it is being mastered and we’re very excited about it! We have poured our hearts into this crazy thing, and we’re expecting Britney Spears-esque success. As for this second, the album doesn’t have a name. Got any suggestions? Nothing age-appropriate please. Thanks!
